Baptism
Last Saturday Calvary Chapel Kampala met on the shores of Lake Victoria to celebrate in the baptism of believers. “We regularly hold these baptism services, and it is such a wonderful time seeing these men and women commit their lives to Christ.” Said Pastor Brian Kelly. Brian Baptized with the help of David Kiiza, the head usher at CCK. Pastor Josh and Brian Kanyike baptized another group of people at the same time. Brian Kanyike currently teaches at the CCBC Uganda extension campus, and is in the pastoral internship program at the church. There were about forty people baptized, and we thank God for making it possible.

Board of Elders
Sunday we confirmed five elders at Calvary Chapel Kampala. It is a huge step for our congregation, one that will produce more fruit in the ministry. Elders are an important part of CCK. They assist the pastor in making decisions, and are available for prayer and counseling at the church. Pastor Brian elaborated on the function and purpose for Elders at the church in Sunday’s sermon. You can listen to the sermon online by visiting: http://www.calvarykla.com/sermons.html Please remember these men in your prayers. Their names are listed below in the prayer & Praise section. |
