CCK Choir

Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter…They are all days to remind us of Jesus’ love for us. This year at Calvary Chapel Kampala we will be having a Good Friday service at the church. We hope that many will come to hear for the first time about Jesus, and His sacrifice on the cross. Jesus loves us so much, and He demonstrated His love by dying for our sins. If you live in Kampala, won’t you consider bringing an unsaved friend or loved one this Friday? The service begins promptly at ten. If you don’t live nearby, why not attend your local church with someone who needs to hear about Christ’s love?
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

Easter Sunday will also be eventful. We will have our usual three services to accommodate the people who will be attending. The worship team is sounding better than ever—ready to lead us into the presence of God. The children’s ministry is also prepared. They have been practicing for several months now to display their talents in an Easter presentation for the church. The greatest joy of all, however, will be in our celebration together of the resurrection of Christ. He is risen indeed!

Prayer & Praise
  • Please begin to pray for several upcoming events. We will be hosting a team of college and career ministry leaders at the end of May. They will be doing many youth functions with CCK, and hosting a large Mega Mix outreach.
  • Nathan Perkins and some other Bible College students are starting a new youth service at the church on Saturdays. The starting date will be announced soon. This will be a wonderful opportunity to reach out to Uganda’s teens who make up over fifty percent of the population.
  • There is a new home fellowship at the church every Friday. It is at Mr. and Mrs. Otim Chandy’s house in Muyenga. All are welcome. If not attending, won’t you pray for the fellowship to be fruitful?
  • Pastor Brian and his family will be in the United States until the beginning of June. Please pray for them that their time would be fruitful. Also, please pray for Pastor Josh as he pastors the church.
  • We thank God that the new third Sunday service is going very well. Each week attendance goes up, and new people are coming to the church. This is only a temporary solution however. As we continue to grow we will need to eventually find a new location. Please pray that God would provide the perfect place.
