Womens Christmas

Merry Christmas! As this joyful season is upon us we hope that you experience all of the blessings of remembering our Savior’s birth. At CCK we are already enjoying special services and fellowship gatherings. On Friday the women’s ministry met together for an evening Christmas party at the church. It was a great turnout with over sixty women in attendance! The ladies enjoyed singing carols, a teaching on Christmas by Jill Kanyike, and great fellowship.

We are also preparing for other Christmas services. On Christmas Eve Sunday there will be our two regular services in the morning, and a special carol and worship service in the evening. Kenny Nek and the choir have been practicing all month long!  If you are in Kampala you are welcome to join us. The evening carol service begins promptly at six. Christmas day we will also be meeting at the church. The service begins at ten on Christmas morning. We will enjoy a drama presentation by the children of CCK, a special song, carols, and a message from God’s Word by pastor Brian. At Calvary Chapel we want to celebrate the reason for the season—Jesus!

Praise God that the Calvary Connection was great! There were over two hundred and fifty CCK members that came out to get plugged in and connected more to the ministry.

Brian and Jill Kanyike have gone to Fort Portal to oversee the church (Calvary Chapel Fort Portal) while Doug and Destiny Calhoon are gone. Brian Kanyike has been teaching at the Bible College here, and will be pastoring in Doug's place for the next three months. Please keep them in prayer, and we will keep you updated on their progress.

Pray for the Calvary community outreaches, especially for the new outreach in Luwero town. Pray for the pastoral interns: Zeddie Mzungu, Peter Nduala, David Kizza, Davik Kimuli, Anthony Yakobo, John Kalule, Joachim Bwambali, and Brian Kanyike.

Christmas is coming soon and we are planning many activities at the church including a Christmas day service and a Christmas eve worship and carol service. Pray for the kids Christmas play too.

Praise God that the Bible College semester is finished and the students & teachers finished well...with minimal casualties!

Pray for Far Reaching Ministries and the preparation of the teams that will be coming over next year to minister with us here in Kampala. If you live in the US and would like to join one of the ministry teams you can visit www.frmafrica.org for more information

Continue to pray for our sister churches in Uganda, Kenya, and Sudan: CC Nairobi, CC Fort Portal, CC Nimule, CC Jinja, CC Entebbe
