“This place is on fire man!” That was the comment that Doug B made while he was on a short visit to Kampala. “I keep hearing of all the great things that God is doing at Calvary Chapel Kampala…and it’s amazing!” Doug, who recently went to help at a Calvary Chapel church plant in Nairobi, was expressing the general feeling among the members of CCK. The feeling is: God is at work in a major way. Last Wednesday, during the Bible study, Pastor Brian shared his thoughts on the work of God in the church, and on the future of CCK. He was teaching on the story of Elijah and the small rain cloud (see: 1 Kings 18:41-46) he told the congregation that when Elijah saw the small rain cloud—only as big as a man’s hand—he knew that the rain was going to come. “Because big things always start small” Brian said, “And I don’t know if the Lord will bless the church with big numbers of people, but one thing I do know, God is going to bless the church with a big work in our hearts.” “Right now we have been praying, and we can see the small rain cloud, but I’m telling you this…get ready for the rain!” The church applauded with excitement. God is at work, but this is only the beginning

Though we have two Sunday services at CCK we are still running out of room. Please continue to pray that God provides the next step in our growth as a congregation.
