At the beginning of the year pastor Brian preached a sermon on evangelism and Missionary work. His main point was that churches should be sending out their best people into the mission field instead of the rejects, or those who don’t really fit in anywhere else. We firmly believe that if we send out our best, then God will raise up new leaders to take their place. Since that sermon CCK has sent out over seven core people from the fellowship, and now, two more are going. And it’s all good.

Eric Ceaser and Sheila Kihembo recently celebrated the giveaway and introduction. These local ceremonies are a time when the family of the future bride gives away their daughter to the husband-to-be. It was quite an event, and all present were pleased to see that Sheila’s family agreed to give her away to Eric. Sheila, who has been the CCK children’s ministry director for the past two years, will be moving with Eric to Nairobi after their wedding in the United States. Eric will also be missed as he was a big part of the fellowship here. Both of them are valuable assets to the Kingdom of God, and we are sure that Calvary Chapel Nairobi will be blessed by their ministry. Zeddie Muzungu will be taking Sheila’s place as children’s ministry director, and has already shown that he is faithful and effective in his calling. Thank you Jesus!
