Resurrection Sunday at CCK was both refreshing and encouraging. Many new people came to both services, and we were blessed to hear the testimonies of those who were there. “Thank you so much for the service” one man said. “It was my first time to come, and I will definitely be back.” He went on to tell one of the ushers that he was grateful for the teaching of the Word of God at CCK.
The service started with worship. The team, led by Kenny Nek, was inspirational. They sang songs such as “He is Risen” and “Jesus is Alive” After the worship two of the girls on the worship team, Grace and Eunice, sang a special song called Redeemer. What a powerful song it was! Many hearts were directed toward the Lord through the worship.
Calvary Chapel Sunday School also had something special to share. Sheila Kihembo, the children’s ministry director, prepared the kids for a short Easter production to perform during the service. The children were great! After a short skit about Jesus and the two men on the road to Emmaus, the kids sang about the resurrection. The people—especially the parents—were blessed!
Pastor Brian continued the service by preaching from Luke 24 on the reason for the resurrection. He declared clearly and effectively that Jesus had to both die on the cross and rise from the dead for us to be saved. The resurrection was the completion of our redemption, and we receive that by repentance and faith. The congregation was stirred by the message and several came forward for prayer. All in all it was a great day

Pray for Eric Ceaser and Doug Blessington as they are in Nairobi helping at the Calvary Chapel there. Eric is teaching at the church and Bible College, while Doug is helping to set up a youth program at the church. Doug is the one who started Mega Mix at CCK.
Pray for our sister churches: CC Entebbe, Pastor Craig Linquist. CC Fort Portal, Pastor Doug Calhoon. CC Nairobi, Pastor Dave Zavalla. CC Nimule Sudan, Pastor James Olal.
Continue to lift up our search for property (and the means to buy the property!) There is only so much longer that we can stay in our current location until we outgrow it. There are four hundred seats in the sanctuary but even the first service that we recently added is starting to fill up. Parking is also an issue at the church now. Please pray for us!
