The Mega Mix at Calvary Chapel Kampala

Last week we kicked off the years first Mega Mix at Calvary Chapel Kampala. As usual, the sanctuary at CCK was completely full. Young people came out from all over Kampala to hear the music and enjoy time with other youth. There were contests, and prizes were given away as well. Several university students went home with new T-shirts and Bibles. Many of the people who come out for the Mega Mix are not even saved. “I come to this because of the great venue, and the cool music” one young man said. “We need something like this in Kampala” he continued, “Thanks for what you guys are doing.” He, along with many others that night, heard the gospel message in a way that they could understand. God is really doing a great thing in the Mega Mix! For more information and the latest Mega Mix artists you can log on to: www.themegamix.com

Wes Bentley, the director of Far Reaching Ministries, was in Kampala last Sunday. It is always a pleasure to have him share with the church when he is here, and this time it was no different. Wes taught us from the book of 2 Timothy about being a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Many were convicted by the message, and were blessed by what they heard.

Please pray for the work that Far Reaching Ministries is doing in Kitgum. There is a real tragedy in that part of the country because of the LRA rebel group. The LRA has been abducting children and killing innocent people for almost twenty years. Pray that God would provide a place of protection for the kids there. Also pray that God would bring Godly men and women to share the love of Christ with the people devastated by this tragedy. For more information you can log on to: www.farreachingministries.org

Praise God that the worship team is really coming together! We have asked for your prayers for this in past newsletters, and God has been answering them. Kenny Nek and the worship team are doing a great job. Keep this important ministry in your prayers

Pray for Eric Ceaser. He has gone to Nairobi to help teach at the CC church and Bible College there.

Continue to pray that CCK finds property in Kampala. This is a big thing, as property is expensive and difficult to find, but thankfully, we serve a big God!
