Calvary Chapel
Entebbe opened its doors for their first Sunday morning service last
month. This has been anticipated for over a year, but there have been
many obstacles. Just when the church thought that a door had been opened
for a place to worship, it would shut unexpectedly. But God knew what
He was doing. He had something great planned. Several months ago, through
constant prayer and waiting upon God, the Lord provided a piece of property
for CCE. Pastor Craig Linquist, who moved to Entebbe with his family
from the United States a year ago, finally felt a peace about the new
prospect. It was the door that the Lord had opened, and if God opens
it, then no man can shut it. (Revelation 3:7) What an exciting time
it was as Pastor Craig and a team from Calvary Chapel Kampala welcomed
over seventy five adults, and a few hundred children. The first service
went great, and even more people keep coming every week.
Matthew 21:42 “…This
was the LORD's doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes”

Praise God
that there was no significant violence during last week’s presidential
and parliamentary elections! The city seemed to be at peace for the
day of the election and the days following, and we were able to hold
both Sunday morning services. Thank you for your prayer.
Special thanks to all of
you who prayed for Pastor Craig and the church in Entebbe. What a wonderful
work was done through your prayers. Please continue to pray for CCE
during these first weeks and months.
Another praise report is
that CC Kampala is developing a stronger worship team. Kenny Nek has
taken the leadership position on the team, and for the past two weeks
has done a great job. Please continue to keep Kenny and the team in
prayer.
Now that CC Entebbe has found
property, CC Kampala is next! Please keep this in prayer that we would
find the right property and would be able to raise the funds necessary
to purchase it.
