With the crusade over and life partially back to normal Calvary Chapel Kampala continues to experience God’s favor. The church is growing, and many people have started attending CCK as a result of the recent outreaches. Many of these new congregants are new believers—people who have just put their faith in Jesus for salvation. They are eager to hear the teaching and have joined the new believer class that we started on Sunday afternoons. At the new believer class these recent converts learn the basic principles of their relationship with Christ. They study about the importance of the Word of God and prayer in daily life. Several of them, who did not receive a Bible at the crusade, were given a Bible at the class.

On the last Sunday of every month many of Kampala’s youth come together at CCK for a gospel music night called Mega Mix. Mega Mix started three months ago as a vision from CCK member Doug B. As a Christian music producer, Doug B. has a heart to see young talented artists raised up in their giftings to serve the Lord. Many of theses up-and-coming artists had incredible talent but no where to express it, that is, until Mega Mix started. Now, every month, around three to four hundred youth attend Mega Mix to listen to the music, enjoy the atmosphere, win some prizes, and most of all hear the message of love and forgiveness in Jesus Christ. “It’s awesome!” one young man said, “We have been waiting for something like this…I’ll definitely be back” He, and others like him—some not even saved—are experiencing the love of Christ at the Mega Mix.

Continue to pray for those who accepted Christ at the crusade. There were over one thousand cards that were filled out for first time commitments. Pray that they would all get to the new believers classes at the participating churches.

Pray for Pastor Brian and family as they will be traveling to the United States for two months in November. Also remember to pray for Pastor Josh as he will be filling in for Brian in his absence.

Continue to pray for the worship ministry. Pray for Anne Ofumbi and Matthew Kasujja as they lead the team. Also, pray for gifted Godly musicians and singers to be raised up.

David Kalanzi and Augustine Kamya are going to Kitgum in November in preparation to plant Calvary Chapel Kitgum. Pray that God would provide the money that they need to live and minister there. Pray also for many open doors to minister to the hurting people there.
